The company split into two separate companies, HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in 2015. The company specialized in manufacturing laptops, data storage devices, networking hardware and designing software. The major product of Hp is personal computing devices, enterprise and industry-standard servers, networking products, software and printers. HP was the world’s leading computer manufacturer from 2007 to 2013.

HP Logo history:

Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard started the company in 1939 and chose the order of their names as the name of the company based on a coin toss. Therefore, it was named as Hewlett-Packard. The initials ‘hp’ was always used by the company.

The First logo:

Initially, Hp used to manufacture electronic test equipment. The company used the ‘hp’ initials along with the wordmark.
Second Logo:

The second logo was introduced in 1941 and was used until 1964. The initials ‘hp’ were black in colour.
Third Logo:

The company adopted a new contemporary logo in 1964 and used it until 1979. The initials ‘hp’ were placed in the centre of the wordmark.
Fourth Logo:

A new logo was introduced in 1979 as the previous logo was not fitting in most of their products. A rectangular logo was designed to fit in all their products and the initials were blue in colour. The company used it til 2010.
Fifth Logo:

The company relaunched its circular form logo in 2010 and the colours in the logo were reversed. The initials ‘hp’ was written in white on blue background.
Sixth Logo:

The enterprise split into two separate companies in 2015. A new logo was relaunched with a lighter tone that was created by Siegel+Gale.
