About the Company:
.
Coca-Cola or Coke is a carbonated soft drink manufactured by the company ‘Coca-Cola’. It had been originally marketed as a temperance drink and was supposed as a medicine. It was invented by John Stith Pemberton in the late 19th century and was bought out by Asa Griggs Candler, a known businessman.
.
History of the Brand:
.
Coca-Cola was invented in May 1886 by a pharmacist, John Stith Pemberton in the U.S.A. It was supposed to be for medicinal purposes. When launched, its two key ingredients were cocaine and caffeine. Cocaine was derived from the coca leaf and the caffeine from kola nut, which lead to the name Coca-Cola. The name Coca-Cola was given by Frank M.Robinson who was the bookkeeper of John S. Pemberton. He suggested that “the two Cs would look well in advertising”. He also designed the world-famous script logo of the brand. Later on, a well-known businessman, Asa Griggs Candler purchased the company from John Stith Pemberton. Under his marketing tactics, Coca-Cola was dominating in the world of soft drink throughout the globe.

The white wave logo was introduced in the year 1969. In a square red box, the script was placed and underlined by a white ‘wave’. This was named Arden Square logo by the company. The company is still using it.
